Patricia Vampatella

Pat is the board chair at SeniorsPlus in Western, Maine. Since resuming her board chair duties post-pandemic, Pat has completely reorganized and rewritten the board manual, overseen the Strategic Planning process, rebuilt the board recruitment process, and instituted board education and enrichment as a key activity at each board meeting. She is enthusiastic and generous in her work as an ambassador for SeniorsPlus and its programs. Additionally, she is active with Maine Senior College and has also been a member of the board of the Maine Association of Area Agencies on Aging. Pat is a tremendous advocate and is always willing to connect with legislators to inform them of the need for key services for older people. She is active, productive, intellectually curious and hard working. Now retired, Pat has an incredible professional history, beginning with a nursing degree and finishing up with a PhD. She has been a college dean and still raised a family of 5 children. Pat is a force to be reckoned with. Her husband calls her the General because she takes charge and gets things accomplished.
